The policy covers a business in the event it did something, or failed to do something, that resulted in injury or property damage to someone else. Without this insurance in force, a successful business of any size may easily be forced into bankruptcy.

This type of policy can be purchased stand alone “monoline” or sometimes it may be combined with property coverage, as a package policy or a Business Owner’s Policy (BOP).
